Maxillary Sinus Augmentation: An essential step in Dental Implantology

I will be talking about ‘Maxillary sinus augmentation using the lateral approach or lateral window approach’. This topic is of great interest to me and I hope to make it interesting for everyone here. The treatment options for the atrophic posterior maxilla have evolved over the years to include various modalities of maxillary sinus augmentation, guided bone regeneration (GBR) and use of alternative implants such as short implants and tilted implants. There are innumerable surgical modalities for performing lateral and crestal sinus augmentation. This educational event, I will be talking about the surgical technique of the lateral approach to maxillary sinus augmentation. Also, I will present the evidences to discuss the protocols which will help us to increase the predictability and minimize the complication rates.
