At present CBCT is considered as a ‘gold standard’ or even ‘standard of care’ for diagnostic imaging of oral and maxillofacial region.
With increasing access to CBCT technology, there is a pressing need to justify and optimise the usage of CBCT in everyday dental practice based on the best available evidence.
