  • Clinical evaluation of prosthetic space and deciding prosthetic type.
  • To recognize importance of emergence profile and influence of hard and soft tissue on long term health of implant prosthesis.
  • Various abutment options available.
  • Selecting healing abutment- standard or customized.
  • To be able to select appropriate restorative abutment- height and width, Hex or non hex, zirconia or titanium, ti base or custom?
  • Screw vs cement retained – is one superior to the other?
  • To be aware of biologic and technical complication arising from incorrect abutment selection.
