The International Dental Show (IDS) will take place March 14-18, 2023 in Cologne. Throughout the entire trade fair, visitors to the VITA stand in Hall 10.1 can look forward to exciting presentations by key opinion leaders, live demonstrations and innovations from the field of tooth shade determination and digital prosthetics. In addition, VITA will present the VITA EXCELLENCE AWARD at the IDS for the first time.

VITA Easyshade LITE for digital tooth shade determination

With the VITA Easyshade LITE, VITA Zahnfabrik introduces a brand new variant of its digital shade measuring device, which visitors to the IDS can test for themselves. With the VITA Easyshade LITE, users can easily and accurately measure the tooth shade. Thanks to high-precision spectrophotometer technology, the device shows the right tooth shade on the display within two seconds. This is given as both VITA classical A1-D4 and VITA SYSTEM 3D-MASTER shades. It is operated with just a push of a button and can also be carried out safely by less experienced users.

Expanded portfolio for VITA VIONIC SOLUTIONS

In the area of digital prosthetics, VITA is showing the optimized VITA VIONIC SOLUTIONS portfolio. This includes, in particular:

• VITA VIONIC VIGO Denture Tooth Library: In the future, users of VITA VIONIC VIGO will have three new setup concepts available for Straight Setup Lingualized, Straight Setup Buccalized and Dutch Lingualized Occlusion. This allows dental technicians to choose from seven predefined setup concepts and digitally produce full dentures quickly and easily using all common open CAM and 3D print systems.
• VITA VIONIC DENT DISC multiColor: Beginning July 2023, the innovative composite milling blank will complement the VITA portfolio for denture teeth for removable and conditionally removable dentures using CAD/CAM. The high quality corresponds to the VITA premium prefabricated teeth, which means that the DENT DISC clearly stands out from the products already on the market in terms of abrasion resistance, flexural strength and integrated shade gradient. The new products will be presented for the first time at the IDS.
• VITA VIONIC BASE DISC HI: The milling blank for manufacturing denture bases via CAD/CAM increases the durability of the manufactured dentures, thanks to its high impact quality. In addition, users can now use newly preset gingival shades.

 Awarding of the VITA EXCELLENCE AWARD

The winner of the VITA EXCELLENCE AWARD will be honored at the IDS. The prize honors outstanding work with the VITAPAN EXCELL anterior set. A jury of four persons will use the following criteria to evaluate the patient cases that are submitted: esthetics, function, documentation and preparation work. The award-winning patient case will be presented to the specialist audience at the VITA stand.
